Adult Choir
(for all singers in high school and older)

This small, but vital, group musically leads our worship each Sunday at 10 AM.
They rehearse at 9:15 AM to prepare that day’s music. Singers of all voice ranges are
welcome. No experience is necessary. We are blessed with a fine quartet of section
leaders who are personable as well as talented. The music is a wide range of spiritual
compositions from early church chants to recent contemporary songs from many faith traditions.

Sunday Singers
(children’s group growing out of our Sunday lesson time)

One week each month the children of the Sunday lesson time prepare and sing an
enthusiastic and inspiring song at the Peace of the 10 AM service. Their songs are
both traditional Sunday School hymns and contemporary worship songs.
Any and all children are members of this group!

HISP Music Fund
This is a dedicated account of donations and concert offerings which is used to sponsor
programs and provide funding for singers and instrumentalists for our festival services.
Gifts of any size are appreciated. Checks should be made out to the church with a notation
for Music Fund.

HISP Music Concerts
Each season we sponsor special concerts for the community. A listing for this year can be found
on the back of this folder. Most program are held on the Third Sunday afternoon of the month
at 4 PM. The Cabarets are in the Lower Hall and all others in the Nave. If you are aware of a
performing individual (or ensemble) who would be available for our series, please contact
Bill Lowden or the church office.

Instruments for Worship
Music is important to our spiritual events at HISP. We are blessed with a beautiful
Rodgers 599 Organ installed in late 2013. It is used as our main leadership for 10 AM Sunday services.
We also have a fine Baldwin Piano sharing the choir loft to accompany choirs when appropriate.
The Lower Hall has a Yamaha Clavinova synthesizer for programs held in that space.
If you play an instrument and would like to share your talent with us, please contact Bill Lowden.
In the recent past trumpet, horn, sax, and violin have added special flavor to our weekly liturgy.
